The tavola calda at Caffè Mazzella, in Pedara, is famously very good, and some of the items are quite large! How does their pistachio tavola calda stack up? Among the many options, we find the pistachio cartocciata.
The overall flavor is excellent, thanks to both the soft dough and the generous filling, but unfortunately, the delicate taste of the pistachio is masked by the other flavors, especially the onion.
When we visit Caffè Mazzella (a place we really like), we prefer to opt for other savory items and finish with an extraordinary cornetto or a good slice of cake.
